Cookie Monsters

The littles ones and I headed to the ranch to check on Poppy and the house. Snacks are always fun to eat, but Lyvi and Dylan are so grabby they just can't trust each other!

The looks say it all, "Don't even think about it."
Nevermind, we each have a bag. Peace will reign!

Kindergarten

I love getting to volunteer in Lindsay's Kindergarten class. This week I was able to witness the grand "Flight of the Butterflies". Honestly the kids are more fun to watch and listen to, but the butterflies were a nice backdrop. I'd try to mention what butterfly it is, but I know her teacher would go ballistic if I got it wrong. (Thanks, Tina! Painted Lady -- I love teachers!) I lost count how many times she had to correct the kids about the kind of butterfly and that it formed a chrysalis not a cocoon.

The Excitement Builds

Any Minute Now

Lazy Butterflies -- okay, so they weren't quite ready for lift off, but the kiddos still deemed the outing a success.

More Bluebonnets!

Acro Star

I'm not exactly sure what Acro is even though I pay for my child to do it every month. Lindsay did have a great time prancing around the gym for her meet and was very excited about her medal.

What's up with the weather?

It doesn't get any crazier than snow in Texas in April! Last week we were swimming and then Saturday it actually snowed! Out in the hill country our parents got three inches of it even.

Lyvi's smile cracks me up here -- it was like a lighbulb went on her head and she finally realized she is supposed to smile when I'm trying to take a photo.

Snowflakes! (okay, big time for Texas)

Lyvi is pointing for Jon to take her back inside so she can play with the dyed chicks some more.

I can't even explain these...

One down, three to go!

Dylan did great in the bluebonnets -- Lyvi thought it was a form of Texas torture (okay, maybe it is for kids). I need to make an attempt to get them all out in the flowers since they are so beautiful this year!
